Say who you are and which circles you belong to: your building, your block, your team, your family.
A drill, a tent, a projector, a camera. Things that fit in a backpack or in the back of a car, sitting unused four blocks from your door. Haves shows what people have and what they are after, inside the circles you already belong to.
The problem
A drill used twice. A tent from a trip in 2019. The projector, the camera, the tool kit, the camping stove, the books already read.
Meanwhile someone four blocks away needs exactly that this weekend — and buys a new one, or gives up.
The inventory already exists. What's missing is a way to see it.
The idea
Two simple things: what you have, and what you want. Put them where the people you already know can see them, and a network that was always there starts working.

The two pieces
A have
Not a listing and not a price. Just a thing that exists, sits still most of the year, and could be useful to someone you know.
A want
For an afternoon or for good. Saying it out loud is most of the problem solved, because someone nearby is usually holding it.
How it works
Simple · Human · Local
01
Say who you are and which circles you belong to: your building, your block, your team, your family.
02
List what you own and aren't using. A name and a photo is enough to start.
03
Add what you're looking for. Other people's haves stop being noise and start being answers.
04
When something matches, you just talk. Real people who are already connected. Nobody in the middle.
Still open
Some things get lent. Some get given away. Some get swapped, some get sold, and plenty just get borrowed for an afternoon and come back on Monday. We are not deciding that for you. We start by making what's there possible to see.
Things that already exist go back into circulation instead of sitting still.
A reason to knock on a door you walk past every day.
The most sustainable object is the one nobody had to make.
What was dead weight in a closet turns into something worth having.
Just getting started
We're building the first version now. There is nothing to use yet — for the moment this is an idea taking shape, and a small group of people looking at it.
